The Price Is Right is celebrating its 50th anniversary and they kicked it off with Dream Car Week. Here’s all the car prizes that could be had!

It’s a New Car!

The Price Is Right has been handing out TVs, bedroom sets, gadgets, and trips around the world for 50 years now, but there’s one prize that’s always gotten the greatest response from the crowd. Whenever the announcer would exclaim “It’s a new car!” for the potential prize, everyone on the show would lose their absolute minds. It could be the lamest car ever and the contestant would be hopping all around the stage with excitement.

So, what better way than to celebrate The Price Is Right’s 50th anniversary by having Dream Car Week? Dream Car Week made sure to make cars the center of the show. Every day, Drew Carey would drive across the stage in one of the most expensive cars of that day. Then contestants would “come on down” to guess on car products like a car scanner, navigation system, rear seat entertainment screens, a remote start, and more. But Dream Car Week wasn’t just about car accessories, the game show made sure to provide contestants with multiple chances at snagging brand new cars every day last week. They gave away so many cars that fans witnessed The Price Is Right history on more than one occasion! Let’s see who won what cars and how crazy some of these four wheeled prizes got.

The Special Wheel Spin Prize

One of the staples to The Price Is Right is the Wheel Spin for a chance to get into the Showcase. As a special change of pace for Dream Car Week, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint was able to be won if someone hit a dollar and then took a chance at hitting a dollar again. Nobody won the Alfa Romeo unfortunately, but more than a handful of people got close. One contestant even won $10,000 by hitting the five spot, just one space away from the grand prize.

Dream Car Week Day 1

Deana winning a Jeep Compass - The Price is Right

To start off Dream Car Week right, Drew Carey pulls up in a high-end Maserati Levante and announces that one lucky contestant has a chance to win that car. Showcasing a Levante GT that starts at $81,800 as a potential prize really kicks things off right. At the end of day one, Drew announced that it was the most cars given away in a single episode of The Price Is Right in its 50 years on TV. They had that place looking like a dealership lot the whole time!

First Car of the Week

Deana is the first to get at a chance at winning a car for Dream Car Week by playing for a Jeep Compass. She got the Secret “X” game and had to get a tic tac toe win without knowing the center column. Deana lucked out and gets to do the Jeep Wave now in her new Jeep Compass!

A Chance at Three Cars

Annette could have made Price Is Right history had she guessed the prices of a Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Sentra, and a Mazda3 hatchback correctly on the Triple Play game. Sadly, she lost right out of the gate.

Two for One Special

What’s better than one car? How about two? Well, Serena lucked out on the Switch game and ended up with both a new Toyota Camry and a new Kia Sportage!

Cash Over a Maserati

The grand prize of the first day showed up for Michael who had to play the Let ‘em Roll game. He got close, but decided not to risk another roll of the dice to win the Maserati Levante GT and came away with $25,000.

A Hybrid and Almost More

Contestant Joel got so close to winning more than one car on day one of Dream Car Week. He started with a win on the Balance Game where he won a new Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid. On the wheel spin he nearly secured the Alfa Romeo prize, but came away with $10,000 instead. And he missed out on his showcase of a Key West vacation, a Vespa, and a new Hyundai Elantra.

Wins It All and Two Cars!

Felicia scored a great haul on The Price Is right. First, she beat the Clock Game and secured a paddle board, electric bike, and a new Kia Forte. Then she made her way to the Showcase and won a professional kitchen gas range, a drum set, a guitar, a piano, and a new Mazda MX-30 that came with a $2,000 home charger install!

Dream Car Week Day 2

The second day of Dream Car Week reeled the prizes back in a bit and offered more vacation packages than new cars. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a nice trip to Hawaii, but I’d rather end up with that BMW 840i that Drew Carey showed up in.

The Most Expensive Car on Price Is Right

Andrea had the chance to win what Drew Carey considered the most expensive car to ever be featured on The Price Is Right. She was playing the Lucky Seven for a new BMW 840i Coupe, but fell short and missed the last number.

One Step Away from a New Car

Elizabeth got to play Pathfinder for a chance at a new Hyundai Kona. She got close to guessing the complete price of the subcompact SUV, but that final step was in the wrong direction.

Sound Effects Lady, Hand Over That Car

Drew had a little fun with Alfred when he got to play One Away for a new Nissan Altima. The contestant got to loudly exclaim “All mighty sound effects lady, do I have at least one right?!” all the way to the final number, securing him the new Nissan. Alfred got to the Showcase, but missed out on an ATV, Razor scooters, and a new Ford Edge.

Not Bad, But Not a Car

Cynthia won some designer shoes and a desktop computer set previously, but wasn’t offered a car. She then went on to the Showcase and ended up winning some tablets, a trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, and a new boat with a trailer. Being Dream Car Week, they could have at least added a new truck to her prize to help tow that boat.

Dream Car Week Day 3

Chevrolet Corvette - The Price is Right

Italian and German cars are cool I guess, but how about that American made Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that rolled onto the show for day three? We also saw some more chances at a new car, but there was only one winner that ended up driving away from the show.

Plinko!

Darin was first of for day three of Dream Car Week, and he got to play Plinko for the chance at a new Toyota Corolla. While he missed the center spot for the new car, he walked away with $3,000.

A K5 and Gas for a Year!

Kari had the chance of winning both a Kia K5 and free gas for a year on the Gas Money game. She got close to winning it all, but dropped the ball when it came to the final price.

Golf for a Corvette

Think you could calm your nerves enough to putt a hole in one for a new Chevrolet Corvette? That’s the reality Rochelle was faced with on the Hole in One game. She unfortunately missed from the second line, then Drew changed it up and made the game a Hole in One or Two! She missed it again though. Cue the sad trombone.

Just Can’t Win

Lexus IS300 - The Price is RIght

Sharonda had a tough go of it on The Price Is Right. Her first game was the 2 for the Price of 1 game where she missed out on some fresh luggage and a trip to Montenegro. She then had a chance at redemption by getting to the Showcase. Sharonda sadly missed out on a fancy ring, a bedroom set, and a new Lexus IS300.

Gas and the Santa Cruz

Amy also missed out on her first game. She got the One Wrong Price game and had to pick between a designer collection, a washer and dryer, or a 4K smart TV. She picked wrong, but made it to the Showcase where she one a new smart phone, $2,500 in gas for the year, and the all-new Hyundai Santa Cruz!

Dream Car Week Day 4

Porsche 718 Boxster - The Price is Right
Porsche 718 Boxster - The Price is Right

Drew Carey drives one of my favorite rides of the week for day four, a Porsche 718 Boxster. People have a lot of strong opinions about which car brands they enjoy, but it’s hard to hate a free Porsche. However, day four was pretty much a bust. Nobody won a car and one of the best car enthusiast prize packages I could ever imagine wasn’t won.

Mini Coopers Cost More Than You Think

Contestant Alexis had to say if the price was too much in order to win a new Mini Cooper on the That’s Too Much game. While these compact little Coopers may not look like they cost much, they’ll surprise you when you read that sticker.

A Rat Race for a Porsche

Karon got to play Rat Race for a chance at three car prizes. The first was a car care product package that’d be perfect for a day of detailing, next was a bunch of snacks that’d be great for a long road trip, and finally was the ultimate prize, a Porsche 718 Boxster. Karon picked three out of the five rats and only ended up with the snacks…

Another Kia K5 Loss

Kia K5 - kiamedia.com
Kia K5 - kiamedia.com

I personally like the Kia K5, yet contestants on The Price Is Right just couldn’t win when it was the prize for Dream Car Week. Nicholas got his chance when playing the Dice Game to win the Kia Sedan, but the dice rolls weren’t in his favor.

One of the Coolest Prize Packages Ever

Ryan had the chance to win my personal dream The Price Is Right showcase. He had previously won a trip to England and got his chance in the Showcase to try and score a car. One of his potential prizes included an Indianapolis 500 trip that had pit pass, a ride along, concerts, and all expenses paid fun at the track. He also could win a sweet multi-monitor racing simulator setup that’d be perfect for any racing game. And to top it off, he could have also walked away with a new Nissan Sentra. However, he couldn’t make up the difference in his guess and only got the trip to England.

Come On… Where’s the Car?!

I’m not sure why The Price Is Right neglected to add the option of a new car to every showcase during Dream Car Week. Tyler missed out on $10,000 on the Grand Game, but ended up with a barbecue island smart TV, and a trip to St. Croix. Could have added a super affordable base Mirage and I would have been appeased.

Dream Car Week Day 5

Audi e-Tron GT - The Price is Right
Audi e-Tron GT - The Price is Right

The last day of Dream Car Week saw one of the most expensive cars to ever park itself on The Price Is Right set. Drew Carey introduced an Audi e-tron GT Quattro at the beginning of the show with a price that trounced the previous record earlier in the week. Another record setter to end Dream Car Week.

The Money Game Was His Forte

To kick things off on the last day off Dream Car Week, Ernie won a new Kia Forte on the Money Game. Probably not most exciting car of the week to win, but a free car is a free car.

Overland on the Frontier

The next vehicle up for grabs was an all-new Nissan Frontier featuring a Thule bed tent accessory. Kimberly got her chance at this overlanding ready truck during the Grocery Game. She ended up losing so she’ll have to keep her travels on road.

Close, but No Cigar

Jessica had the chance at a bunch of design handbags, an inflatable hot tub, and a 4K smart TV on the Most Expensive game. She missed out there, but got a second chance in the Showcase. She could have won a jukebox, trip to Thailand, and a new Mazda CX-5 had it not been for her opponent.

The Top 5 Highest Amount in Price Is Right History

Melissa got the chance to win a travel pillow, some fitness trackers, and that expensive Audi e-tron GT Quattro from the beginning of the show. On the 10 Chances game, she correctly found the price for all three items in just seven turns. Melissa ended up with a $123,950 car, the highest priced vehicle on and to be won in The Price Is Right history. Melissa then went on to the Showcase to add to her total with a pool table, a backyard patio set, and a trip to Ireland. That brought her total to $159,040, one of the top five highest amounts ever won on The Price Is Right.
