Summer is coming to an end, kids are going back to school, and we’re almost done following Aaron Rodgers around on Hard Knocks. That can mean only one thing – preseason is over and the football season is nearly here! Along with that exciting news comes a new fantasy football season, a fun way of getting together with a couple of friends and creating your own team out of actual players. You may not be able to call the plays or talk to your team in person, but their performance on the field adds points to your fantasy team that can help you beat your opponent every week.

There are certain football players that can make your team unstoppable for fantasy season. These top fantasy football players continue to ball out and rack up fantasy points. Rather than talk about how well these players will do for your fantasy team, we figured we’d take a look at what this year’s top fantasy draft picks are driving.

Fantasy Football Drafting Notes
Fantasy Football Drafting Notes

We checked the stats and found the cars of the top three fantasy football performers from each of the major offensive skill positions – quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. Let’s check out what your fantasy football league winners have in their garage and see if that sways your judgement during this year’s fantasy drafts!

Top Fantasy Quarterback Cars

In terms of fantasy football, the importance of the quarterback is determined by the league type and scoring settings. Superflex leagues can feature two quarterbacks in a lineup, so they’re a hot commodity taken in the first round typically. Your regular PPR or Standard leagues are less heavily reliant on this position, but a great QB can still be worth an early draft pick.

In real life, the quarterback is the highest regarded position in football. These quarterbacks are leading their offense out on the field and making split second decisions that can lead to a championship run or a 2017 Cleveland Browns type of season. Because of this, good quarterbacks get the most lucrative contracts in the NFL. Multi-million-dollar deals that typically come with a ton of guaranteed money just for signing on the dotted line. This means QBs can have some of the greatest car collections of any position in the league.

Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes had a slow start to his NFL career, but now he’s one of the most recognizable names in sports and a two-time Super Bowl Champion. He’s cemented his spot among the top of draft boards for years now as he’s a dual threat through the air and on the ground. Following his first Super Bowl win, Mahomes signed a $450,000,000 10-year contract that included a $10,000,000 signing bonus and $141,481,905 guaranteed. With that substantial payday, Mahomes was able to go out and become part owner of the Kansas City Royals and purchase a massive home that features his own football field and golf course.

As for his car collection, the star quarterback purchased a Ferrari 812 Superfast for himself, a Ferrari F8 Tributo for his wife, a ritzy Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Lamborghini Urus for a daily driver. It’s a great start to his growing garage, but maybe Mahomes could add a couple of classic cars to the mix? A Ferrari F40 or Lamborghini Countach seem to fit his style. Or since he has two kids, he could even look at adding some family-oriented options like the Jeep Grand Wagoneer or Hummer EV.

Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills drafted Josh Allen back in 2018 and he has climbed everyone’s draft boards since his breakout at the quarterback position. The guy isn’t just a capable QB with a cannon for an arm, he also works as a dual threat out of the pocket with the run game. As for the Buffalo Bills quarterback’s cars, he actually started out driving a Kia Forte for his rookie season. That’s a great car for the daily commuter, but I’m sure Allen got tired of it during those rough winters in Buffalo.

Allen ended up signing a six-year $258,000,000 contract that included a $16,500,000 signing bonus and $150,000,000 guaranteed. This allowed him to trade in the Kia and get a truck to handle those winter months, but this isn’t any ordinary truck. Allen purchased a blacked-out Ford F-150 Shelby Raptor. Shelby took the already mean truck and threw on some Baja inspired exterior components, special edition Shelby wheels with BFGoodrich KM3 tires, a BDS suspension lift kit, and upgraded that Ecoboost engine under the hood to make over 525 horsepower. Josh Allen’s garage also includes some luxury SUVs in the form of a Land Rover Range Rover Sport and a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon.

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts was drafted in 2020 by the Philidelphia Eagles and helped lead the team to a Super Bowl in just his third season. While the Eagles quarterback lost out to Mahomes, his team still rewarded him with a nice five-year $255,000,000 contract that included a $23,294,000 signing bonus and $179,399,000 guaranteed. You’d think that the first purchase would be some expensive cars like Mahomes, but Hurts is a little more frugal with his money.

Prior to his substantial contract, Hurts was driving around a used Chrysler 300 he had financed back in college. Once he entered the league, the first thing he did with his rookie contract cash was pay that Chrysler off and continue to use it as his daily. Hurts also acquired pre-owned Cadillac CTS for a great deal after cameoing in a commercial for a local Cadillac dealership. Otherwise, the only other real car of note driven by Jalen Hurts is a Nissan Titan pickup truck. All of these are great, affordable vehicles for your everyday shopper, but treat yourself to one nice, new car with that new contract Jalen.

Top Fantasy Running Back Cars

Running backs are some of the first players off the draft board in fantasy football (unless you’re in a Superflex league). Sometimes spending that number one pick on a projected top tier running back can come back and bite you (I’m looking at you McCaffrey), but the running back position isn’t as deep in comparison to wide receivers. There are plenty of middling talents out there and maybe a couple sleepers later in a fantasy football draft, but securing a top running back early on is a must. As for running backs’ garages, they all seem to enjoy some fast cars or a bit of a luxurious cabin to ride in.

Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey finds himself atop fantasy football draft boards year after year – even with his frequent injury setbacks. It’s hard not to want to draft him after having witnessed his 2019 season in which he ran for over 1,300 yards and scored 15 touchdowns. You’ve got to hope that “this is the year he makes a comeback” every time you pick him. The star running back was sent from the Carolina Panthers to the San Fransico 49ers last season. While it’s a change of scenery, he’s still being utilized as the same offensive weapon out of the backfield.

McCaffrey’s car collection starts with the 2017 NFL Draft, when he received a BMW 7-Series after signing his rookie contract. The following year, McCaffrey was given a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon as well. McCaffrey has since received a four-year $64,063,500 contract that included $21,500,000 signing bonus and $38,162,500 guaranteed. This led to his car collection expanding slightly to include a matte black Aston Martin DB11 and a matte black Ford F-150 Raptor to match. These were both his first actual car purchases and McCaffrey has stated that he doesn’t really see himself purchasing many more cars as he’s satisfied with his matte black garage.

Austin Ekeler

Austin Ekeler started making waves once Melvin Gordon left the Chargers. While he has yet to eclipse the 1000-yard rushing mark in the regular season, he’s been a dominant rusher in the red zone having racked up 12 touchdowns last season. Ekeler also acts as one of Herbert’s top passing options when the wideouts are covered, registering 70 receptions for over 600 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He’s the running back you want in a Point Per Reception fantasy league.

Ekeler originally went undrafted in 2017, but was later picked up by the Chargers. Once he proved himself as a new workhorse over Gordon, he got a pretty good pay day. One of the first things he bought with his new found wealth was a brand-new 2019 Ford F-150 for his mom. She’d been driving a high-mileage minivan for a while and Ekeler made sure to fix that with a new truck. The next car purchase was for himself, a 2020 C8 Corvette. Ekeler had wanted a Corvette for a while and decided that the all-new mid-engine model would be a perfect gift to himself after securing his spot with the Chargers. It was a pretty nice jump from his Chrysler 300.

Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson has only just entered the NFL, but he’s already got a pretty sweet car. The Falcons rookie running back was an exciting player to watch during his collegiate career with the Texas Longhorns. Robinson lucked out when it came to receiving lucrative NIL deals, as they had only been allowed for student-athletes starting in 2021. One of the largest supporters of the Texas Longhorns happens to be an Austin Lamborghini dealership, so Robinson was handed the keys to a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder as an NIL partnership deal. Robinson recently signed a four-year rookie contract worth $21,960,000, so I’m sure that Lambo won’t be lonely for too much longer.

Top Fantasy Wide Receiver Cars

Having top performing wide receivers on your fantasy team wins championships. There are plenty to choose from, but only a handful that are worth spending high draft priority on. The same could be said about the NFL teams when considering the position. There are plenty of guys to choose from at the position, but only the best are worth signing to huge contracts. Wide receivers fall between quarterbacks and running backs in terms of contract amounts typically, and their choice of cars seem to reflect aspects of both positions too.

Justin Jefferson

Justin Jefferson has quickly taken the league by storm thanks to his performance on the field and after a touchdown. The young wide receiver took the place of Stephon Diggs on the Viking offense after being drafted in the first round of 2020. He’s become Kirk Cousin’s favorite target and has popularized the “Griddy” dance move when celebrating touchdowns.

Jefferson is still working under his initial $13,122,805 rookie contract, but that’s more than enough to afford his car that he affectionately calls the “Batmobile”. The blacked-out Mercedes-AMG GT63 that Jefferson drives does resemble a car that Batman or Bruce Wayne would drive, but I’m sure there will be more cars to come as the wide receiver star is due for a hefty new contract sometime after this season.

Ja’Marr Chase

Ja’Marr exploded onto the NFL scene during his rookie season with the Bengals. Joe Burrow campaigned to get his former LSU receiver on his team, and it seemed to be a great choice. Sure, the offensive line could have had some help, but Chase has proved that he’s an absolute baller and has some serious chemistry with Burrow. He helped push the Bengals to a Super Bowl during his rookie season, but unfortunately just missed the win in the end. He’s still on his $30,819,641 rookie contract but will probably be starting negotiations sometime next year.

When it comes to cars, Chase seems to be a Mopar fan. He went out and got a customized Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, possibly one of the best modern street sleepers out there. This Jeep features a 707-horsepower supercharged Hellcat V8 under the hood that’s capable of sending this SUV to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. That’s possibly one of my favorite choices on this list, but Chase wasn’t satisfied and added his dream car, a Rolls-Royce Wraith, to his arsenal following his rookie signing.

Tyreek Hill

Tyreek “Cheetah” Hill is one of the fastest players in the NFL since being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016. The Super Bowl champion has frequently sat at the top of fantasy football draft boards and that trend continues even on a new team. Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins last year, transitioning from Mahomes to Tua Tagovailoa throwing him the ball. Changing teams also brought Hill a new four-year $120,000,000 contract that included a $25,500,000 signing bonus and $72,200,000 guaranteed.

Tyreek is no stranger to cars. He has held several different cars while with the Chiefs and continues to build his collection down in Miami. Tyreek Hill owns a Mercedes-Benz G 550, a lifted Ford F-250 called “Big Bertha”, a Jeep Gladiator turned into an Apocalypse 6×6, a C8 Corvette, Cadillac Escalade, and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. Hill also dabbles with classic cars as he owns a customized Ford Galaxie and recently put up his yellow C3 Corvette Stingray for sale.
