Money can’t buy good taste, and these cars are proof. We sought out the weirdest and worst celebrity custom cars and boy did we find some doozies.

Getting Your Heart’s Desire

It’s no secret that celebrities love their cars. From comedians like Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno to musicians like Frank Ocean and Post Malone, many famous folks are also huge car fanatics. And while some, like Leno, are real experts with good taste, others are mere dilettantes rolling up to the film premier in their newly wrapped Murciélago more for the “gram” than because they love Lambos.

It’s a natural inclination, with millions in the bank, to buy a cool car with the intention of getting it customized. But when limitless money meets questionable taste, the cars can end up looking more like Pimp My Ride than Goodwood worthy. We scoured the internet for the most cringe inducing celebrity customs cars out there, and here they are in all their, ah … glory (?).

The most sacrilegious offence on this list comes curtesy of Japanese designer and DJ Nigo who decided one of the most beautiful cars ever made needed a camouflaged vinyl wrap and a new AMG engine and transmission. If he wanted to tank the value of his collector car, just crashing it would have been cheaper.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Lamborghini

Ms. Minaj has rapped for a long time about her affinity for Barbie and that #pinklife. So the custom bubble gum pink makeover of her Lamborghini Aventador is certainly on brand. Some found the custom paint job to be eye-catching in all the wrong ways, but really, isn’t owning a Lamborghini all about the attention anyway?

Justin Bieber’s Audi R8

If one thing is clear from this list, celebrities aren’t satisfied with factory paint options (frankly, neither are we often times). Justin Bieber’s choice for his Audi R8 was to go full leopard print. Let’s face it, if we learned anything from The Tiger King, it’s that leopard print is never, ever in good taste. Maybe Justin lost a bet? That’s got to be it.

Chris Brown’s Lambos

Chris Brown’s lack of self-control clearly extends to his choice of custom paint jobs because the designs on his pair of Lamborghini Gallardos from West Coast Customs must have impulsive. The first is a yellow, white, blue, and red scheme intended to evoke Hot Wheels cars, a cool idea that proves to be less so once you see it in real life. The next is a fighter plane design taken from a WWII-era P-51 Mustang. Another cool concept that ended up looking like a kid’s toy.

Sonny and Cher’s Custom Mustangs

Back in the 1970s, Sonny and Cher were one of the most buzz-worthy Hollywood couples. Their friend, movie car customizer George Barris (of the OG TV Batmobile) built them a pair of his and her custom 1966 Ford Mustangs. One pink, the other yellow, both cars had their front ends redone, taillights replaced, and featured, you guess it, leopard print shag carpeting. Yikes.

Flo Rida’s Bugatti Veyron

It’s not just former President Trump who has a fixation on all things gilded with gold. Rapper Flo Rida took his Bugatti Veyron, a unique and uniquely expensive car, and gave it the Midas Touch. While some may consider this a proverbial case of gilding the lily, it’s hard to argue that Flo Rida’s Veyron looks like the ultimate rap video whip.

Darren McFadden’s Buick Centurion

At first blush, Darren McFadden’s custom purple and green Buick might seem like an epic aesthetic fail. But those massive 32-inch wheels and gaudy paint job are all part and parcel of the donk and hi-riser car culture which prizes old body-on-frame sedans with silly amounts of lift and even crazier amounts of horsepower. Fast and freaky, McFadden’s Buick is far from the “worst” on our list.

Will.i.am’s Trio of Tastelessness

For worst celebrity cars, look no further than rapper Will.i.am’s confounding trifecta. That’s right, the Black-Eyed Peas alum is a repeat offender starting with his West Coast Custom Volkswagen Beetle. The goal was for some sort of Dick Tracy-like coupe, the result was a $900,000 matte blue monstrosity with swooping fenders, suicide doors, and a maroon interior. Come to think, the car, for all its faults does at least have a coherent design. The same can’t be said for Will.i.am’s all white DeLorean complete with an entirely new body again via West Coast Customs. The car was even given a name: IAMAUTO. Least offensive is Will’s final West Coast collab, a Tesla Model S gets a Lotus-like reimaging that, despite some weird looking details like the spokeless black wheels, might actually be an improvement over the minimalist/uninspired Model S.
